IUNI’s 2nd smartphone, the U3 is listed online for around 300 dollars. The 5.50 inches touchscreen of this device boasts a pixel density over 530 and it is preset to a 2560 x 1440 resolution. This phone uses the latest and the fastest EMMC 5.0 32 GB storage memory.
It has a DDR3 1865 MHz RAM. U3 has a front 4.0 ultra pixel sensor and a back optical image stabilization enabled 13.0 megapixels camera. There’s an LED flash too.
This mobile has Krait 450 architecture based Snapdragon 801 SoC of 2300 MHz clock speed. For handling 3D graphics, animations and complex UI’s, U3 from IUNI houses an Adreno 330 GPU.
This smartphone under Rs 20000 supports connectivity with WCDMA, Bluetooth, GSM, WiFi and 4G LTE networks.
The handset is endowed with a micro SD and 2 SIM card slots. It weighs 175 grams. U3 is 74.9 mm wide and 10.3 mm thick. Well, IUNI isn’t the only company to have launched a mobile with a QHD display. LG’s G3 features a touchscreen with the same resolution as the U3 but it carries a price tag around 800 dollars (within 48000 to 49000 Rs).
It’s rumored that upcoming Huawei phones, the Mate 7 and Ascend D3 will boast a QHD screen as well. Chinese manufacturer Meizu has also lined up its latest device MX4 for a launch.
This smartphone has scored over 50000 in Antutu’s benchmark tests. It’s expected to feature an octa-core Samsung Exynos CPU, 3 GB of RAM and a whopping 128 GB file storage space. MX4 will run on Flyme 4.0 OS. Like CynogenMod, this operating system is a modified version of Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat.
