Smart Facebook techniques for Businesses

Ever since launched, Facebook has not only become a major force in the social networking  world but also an effective medium to communicate your business services to the world. Most of the popular business houses today have an account on Facebook through which they create advertisements and make people and their customers aware of latest happenings (like new product, news, etc) from their status updates. Creating a Facebook page doesn't require you to spend dollars m you can create a Facebook page free of cost. (In order to make Facebook promote your page to over its 1 billion+ users, you’ll need to create advertisement s (For that you’ll need to pay money to Facebook) ).

Hence the first smart move for any business would be to create a Facebook Page for your business and invite all your friends to like this page.If you create a Facebook page/twitter account for your business  or register your business on local Business Directories , you’r business would be guaranteed found in search engine results  even if you don’t own a website .

Nowadays, people have started realizing (in- fact people have realized)  the importance of the Internet and  hence they’ll  make use of it do a thorough research before purchasing anything .Their research efforts include three main activities :-
  •  Visiting product review forums .
  • Visiting product comparison websites .
  •  Visiting multiple eCommerce websites to find out the best deal  .

The second smart technique would be to make people post their reviews of your product on your page itself. As people are posting their reviews on your page itself (or in a  forum of your page) why would anyone bother visiting third party sites for reviews? You may want to attract more people (probably new customers )to your page .For that you’ll need  focus on  getting more likes..  One easy method would be  to contact owners (Facebook allows you to send a message to the administrator of a page) of other pages to share your page with their audience/subscribers  and in turn you’ll share theirs or pay them certain amount of money . This method is worth trying if you don’t want to spend your money in Facebook advertising. You can even convince your friends to share your page in their news-feed.

When you see people replying your posts , don’t simply ignore it . Make sure that you engage as much as you can with your audiences. This helps to build a stronger bond between you (Through your page and your subscribers/followers.

Facebook allows you to create polls on  relevant topics  .You can make uses of these polls to compare yours and your competitors product . Facebook polls are commented i.e. a person can comment on the poll once he has voted . Hence you’ll also find your products reviews as comments . This may work/may not work towards your advantage as you don’t have control on what people would vote for .
