USSD codes are easy to use but they’re very difficult to remember specially if you’ve a mobile device with 2 SIM card slots. Many people use them to get service related information from the telecom operators. The information may include 3G settings, data balance, net offer, sms or roaming packs, 2G mobile internet plans,…etc.
Indian telecom operators like Airtel, Tata Docomo, Reliance, Idea, Aircel, Vodafone and BSNL allow users to dial more than 5 USSD codes on their Android, Windows, IOS handsets. Some of the top operators offer more than 30 codes. When a customer dials the number, required information is sent to him via a text message or an alert. To get your own number, you can simply call *1#. Users must configure APN or access point names to use internet services like 2G or 3G. Customers can get APN settings through the USSD service. They can even change it manually.
