If you’re a music lover then you know very well what an album art is ?. If you don’t know what it is then let me tell you that Album art is a picture that comes along with your favorite audio file format. You can view the picture of your favorite audio file by simply switching the folder where you’ve stored your music files to thumbnail view (By right clicking on any location in the folder and then selecting view and clicking on thumbnail view / larger icons). If you see many of your music files lacking the art picture then you may be wondering How to do this ?. Well, the solution to this problem is simple and you don’t require to download any software to add album art to MP3 or any other media file format. You can simply use the Window’s media player application or any other files by referring the below tutorial:
Step 1:- Go to the directory where you have stored your music files and switch to thumbnail view. Now you’ll be able to see all the songs that have and lack the album art.
Step 2:- Now, cut, copy and paste the audio files that lack the album art into a separate folder. This will ensure that you don’t have duplicate song files that will consume the disk-space unnecessarily.
Step 3:- Just as the above step, copy the image files that you want to add as an art to your song files into a separate folder.
Step 4:- After you’ve done adding the files( as mentioned in the above 2 steps) to an another folder, Open the Windows Media Player by typing WMPlayer in the run dialog box and hit enter to launch the Windows Media Player.
Step 5 :- Now , you’ll need to make WMP locate the library (files) that you need to update. To help WMP in this cause, select music sub-menu from the organize menu as shown below.
Step 6:- Now you’ll be able to see a Window with add button, simply click on that add button to launch the “Include folder in Music” window and browse to the folder where you had stored the files as mentioned in the Step 2 and click the “Include Folder” button.
Step 7 :- This is the most important and the last step in this tutorial . In this step, goto the folder of images that you had created as mentioned in step 3. Copy the image you want to add add as an album art to a relevant song file. Now click on the Albums tab from the left side in WMP, right click on the song/MP3 file you want to and select “paste album art”.
Step 8 :- Repeat the action mentioned in the step 7 till you’re done adding the album art to all files.
